Bastio was founded in June 2025 to help businesses secure their AI stack, save serious money on their LLM bills, and fight back against malicious requests.
A white‑hat’s wake‑up call
Our founder, Daniel Skov Jacobsen, kept seeing the same pattern: production AI systems were frighteningly easy to break. Prompt injection, jailbreaks, data leakage—especially in deployments by European companies under pressure to ship fast—were not edge cases, they were the default. As a white hat, Daniel had a choice: exploit and profit, or build something that protects everyone.
He chose the latter. Bastio was created to give teams a fighting chance: practical guardrails that slip into your stack in minutes, reduce attack surface immediately, and unlock meaningful cost savings along the way.
